**Job Summary and Qualifications**
As an Anesthesia Technician, you will assist in the care and preparation of the patient for anesthesia, support the anesthesiologist when needed, and participate in the care and cleaning of operating room equipment, anesthesia equipment, and operating room suites.
+ You will maintain appropriate levels of anesthesia supplies and equipment for the daily schedule by ordering and stocking in every anesthesia location
+ You will prepare invasive supplies for hemodynamic monitoring and assist the Anesthesiologist in the placement of these lines
+ You will be responsible for the sanitation and sterilization of all anesthesia equipment
+ You will obtain drug needed by the Anesthesia unit, and maintain an adequate level of anesthesia drugs at every anesthesia location in the Hospital.
+ You will demonstrates safe, effective working knowledge of equipment, and maintain and properly use the crash cart
+ In actual cardiac/respiratory arrest/code situations, you will perform basic life support and code procedure as described in hospital policy
+ You will note changes in individual anesthesiologist preferences and anticipate the needs of the anesthesiologist
+ You will check conditions and operation of anesthesia equipment before procedures, and remove and report all damaged or unsafe equipment
**What qualifications you will need:**
Experience
+ 1 year of related experience OR experience as an Anesthesia Technician
Education
+ High school diploma or GED equivalent
Licenses and Certifications
+ Basic Cardiovascular Life Support (BCLS) certification as per St. David’s Healthcare policy
