The Anesthesia Technician assists the Anesthesia personnel in the preparation for and performance of direct patient care; cleans, disinfects, orders, and stocks supplies; assists in the maintenance and preparation of instruments, equipment and monitors; and is responsible for maintaining a clean, neat environment with adequate supplies. The ideal candidate will have: High school diploma or general education diploma (GED) preferred. 1 year or more, prior clinical experience preferred Anesthesia Technician Certification preferred. Listed as active on the State of Maine CNA Registry preferred. Basic analytical ability required to calibrate equipment. Knowledge of sterile techniques. Job Description: The OpportunityWe are seeking a dedicated Full-Time Anesthesia Technician to support our team at the Alfond Center for Health in Augusta. Be part of a dynamic team focused on providing exceptional patient care. What You’ll DoAs an Anesthesia Technician, you’ll work closely with our licensed anesthesia providers to ensure patient safety and support. Your responsibilities will include: + Equipment Management: Cleaning and setting up all types of anesthesia equipment. + Patient Support: Assisting with patient assessment, monitoring, transport, positioning, IV insertion, invasive lines, and airway management. + Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Providing daily equipment maintenance and addressing malfunctions. + Room Turnover: Facilitating efficient and safe room transitions. What You Bring + Previous experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in anesthesia or surgical services, is a plus. + Strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with anesthesia providers and support staff. + A patient-centered approach, ensuring comfort and safety for all patients. + Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification, to be obtained within 6 months of hire.
