We're seeking a Anesthesia Technologist for Emory Univeristy Hospital, responsible for being a capable certified technician who cares about the quality of their work an ensuring the safety and care for all patients. 

This individual will:    

 

Performs all duties as an Anesthesia Technician I and II, including set up and support of equipment in all anesthetizing locations, and invasive hemodynamic monitoring lines.Follows established procedures for equipment inspection. Tests equipment to ensure that it remains in proper operating condition.Performs lower level troubleshooting and takes corrective action to prevent hazardous situations. Ensures the availability of expendable laboratory and monitoring supplies by inspecting inventories and initiating purchase requisitions.Responds to emergency service requests made after regular working hours on a rotating basis. Assists in transporting post-operative patients to the Intensive Care Unit.Follows sterile technique principles and other infection control policies and standards to maintain a healthy work environment Takes required precautions in keeping with JCAHO, organizational and other safety guidelines when working with electrical equipment.Equipment Checks: Responsibility Description: Performs daily apparatus equipment checks.Sets up and calibrate hemodynamic monitoring lines: Responsibility Description: Able to prep setup by purging free of air and calibrate before use.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Associates Degree in a related field and five (5) years of work experience as an Anesthesia Technologist or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
