Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding an Anesthesiologist to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln.  The department averages 160 cases are per week, supported by an active and dynamic OB team that performed 1,580 deliveries last year. The hospital boasts 8 main operating rooms (ORs), 2 cystoscopy rooms, 2 labor and delivery ORs, 2 endoscopy suites, and 1 interventional radiology room. The case load spans a wide range, primarily bread-and-butter (B&B) cases, but also includes healthy pediatrics, obstetrics, neurology, thoracic, vascular, orthopedics, ENT, and trauma. NYC Health +Hospitals/Lincoln is located just 15 minutes from NYC, and is an acute care teaching hospital academically affiliated with Weill Medical College of Cornell University.

Responsibilities

On-call responsibilities are well supported by three attendings in-house for nights and weekends

Two attendings manage main OR cases, while the third is dedicated to labor and deliveryMinimum of four calls per month requiredWeekday calls: 3 p.m. to 7 a.m. (16 hours)Weekend calls: 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. (24 hours)Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) and residents work in a 1:2 supervision ratioApproximately 40% of cases are performed solo and 60% under supervisionAnesthesiology residents from New York Medical College rotate through the facilityFive residents graduate per yearResidents also take in-house callOral and maxillofacial surgery (OMFS) rotators work during the day, contributing to the educational environment Qualifications A license to practice Medicine in the State of New YorkExperience in block placement in upper and lower extremities preferred but not requiredBoard eligible or certified in AnesthesiologyAdditional Fellowship training is welcome

Wages and Benefits include:


Annual Base Salary: $390,000* (board eligible); $400,000* (board certified) based on 40-hour work week. Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours.


The annual total value of the compensation package is estimated between $637,350** (board eligible) and $650,000** (board certified) which includes the baseline salary, fringe benefits, sessional/per diem hours, and other factors as set forth below:

Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $104,000***Projected bonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous year’s average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits):Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings.
