In the Animal Care Technician I role, you will use existing SOPs and quality assurance standards to perform daily animal health observations, as well as animal husbandry and cagewash duties, to maintain quality and health of research animals. Supply food and water for research animals. You will also need to maintain accurate records of things like animal housing, animal health and necessary supplies. You may assist with restraint, handling, and manipulation of animal species, and you may become involved in the breeding and weaning procedures. Other duties may include supporting cagewash equipment operations and maintenance, monitoring personnel entry into various rooms, and general vivarium housekeeping, when required.
