Summary: Seeking an Animal Care Tech I to provide care for larger preclinical animals, maintain health and husbandry, and support facility operations.

Job Requirements:

High school diploma or GED

Ability to lift 30 pounds

Preferred Skills:

Comfortable working with animals; animal background preferred

Industry experience is a plus

Key Responsibilities:

Daily maintenance of animal health and husbandry

Adherence to all SOPs with attention to safety practices

Cleaning of animal housing areas daily and disinfection weekly

Providing daily enrichment to animals including exercise, toys, and social housing

Feeding animals according to department SOPs

Maintaining cleanliness in the lab

Managing receipt of department deliveries

Immediate communication of any health issues to Veterinary Staff

Documentation of activities using Good Documentation Practices

Support Veterinary Technicians and Veterinarians as needed

Pay Details: $17.00 to $21.00 per hour
