Job Duties + Maintain the animal facility to meet the standards of the U.S. Department of Agriculture Animal Welfare Act, the Guide for the Care and Use of Laboratory Animals, University policy and all state, federal and local laws, and regulations. + Work with the principal investigators, research staff, and students to maintain standards of animal care and space requirements. + Follow schedule for equipment maintenance, cage changing and sanitizing, maintain rooms and corridors. Assess environmental conditions and report anything outside of the accepted ranges required to ensure animal health. + Maintain animal feed, bedding, and supplies. Notify CRF manager if supplies are running low. + Assist the CRF manager with the training of researchers, students, and animal care employees in all aspects of proper animal care. + Perform routine maintenance of facility equipment.
