Animal Care Technician - Pharmaceutical Company (Entry Level) Location: Tarrytown, NY Work Environment: + Fully onsite position in Tarrytown, NY. + Onsite amenities include a gym and cafeteria. + Engage with a large team while contributing to cutting-edge research in the pharmaceutical sector. + Flexible scheduling including potential overtime, weekends, and holidays may be required as this position is essential personnel. Responsibilities: + Perform cleaning and maintenance duties for animal housing facilities. + Conduct monthly sanitation of equipment and living spaces. + Maintain accurate records for animals, supplies, and equipment. + Provide basic care for research animals, including daily health observations and environmental checks. + Report any changes in the environment or animal health. + Change and clean cages, equipment, water bottles, and food supplies. + Unpack and house new animals upon arrival. + Collaborate with team members and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for safety. Qualifications: + High School Diploma or equivalent technical certificate required. + A minimum of one year of experience in animal care is preferred. + Experience working with mice is a plus. + Strong cleaning, sterilization, and animal husbandry skills. + Team player with a commitment to learning and adhering to lab safety protocols.
