Based remotely or in Singapore, the Animal Nutrition Strategic Portfolio Manager with a special focus on Enzymes, reports directly to the Marketing Director of Kemin Animal Nutrition and Health Asia (KAA). The incumbent is accountable for the marketing activities of the Animal Nutrition portfolio (which includes Bio-surfactants, Enzymes, Trace Minerals, Toxin Binders, and Antioxidants) and Global Strategic Portfolio (Enzymes) and oversees the development and delivery of a marketing strategy that will ensure expansion of market share or share of wallet, and successful attainment of 3 key performance indicators: People Touched, Net Sales and Gross Profit. The incumbent is further accountable for crafting strategies to ensure that customers are fully satisfied with product quality, technical support, and services, which lead to increasing product brand footprint while staying relevant and true to its value proposition.

Responsibilities Under the leadership of the Marketing Director, fulfill the annual target in People Touched, Net Sales, Gross Profit, and Gross Margin. This includes:Proposing the selling price for the Marketing Director and Sales Director to approve.Working with the Purchasing team to keep costs down and with the Logistics team to ensure timely fulfillment of orders by the customers.Engage the Top 20 customers in the key Asia Pacific markets with KAA’s solutions and services, and regularly collect insights into the Customer’s Point of View (CPOV).Maintain a clear understanding of market trends and seek out opportunities to ensure growth and profitability.Ensure the timely launch of products developed by the R&D team. This includes:Undertaking continuous analysis of the market size and share, and competitive landscapeDeveloping a complete marketing plan comprising the key elements of customer segmentation, value proposition, market share, and channel-to-marketDeciding on which markets to register and launchForming cross-functional teams to ensure the achievement of desired resultsWork closely with the marketing department and a team of Animal Nutrition Portfolio to re-fresh yearly the marketing plan of existing products and manage incumbent products’ life cycle.Under the leadership of the Marketing Director, enable the company’s sales teams in the region to meet their commercial objectives by providing them with the appropriate tools, materials, and presentations: teach, tailor, and take control.Work closely with:Marketing Communications (Marcom) team to formulate and implement successful communications and PR campaigns that include print, digital, and social media.Customer Laboratory Services (CLS) and Technical Services (TS) teams to provide relevant support to shorten the sales cycle from the Needs phase to the Implementation phase.Put in place a plan to regularly upgrade the incumbent team’s capability and capacity and ensure that the organizational structure of the incumbent’s portfolio is effective and efficient in serving KAA’s customers. Qualifications

As this is a middle-level position in the company, the incumbent must fulfill the following qualifications and experience:

Have at least 8 years of working experience in a technical and management capacity in the livestock industry and a Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Nutrition, Animal Science, or Veterinary Medicine.Have at least 3 years of hands-on experience in feed enzymes product management.Demonstrate strong product management and product marketing competency (a professional degree in product marketing or product management will be an advantage).Be technically competent in feed enzymes and other animal digestibility-enhancing products, and applications in the livestock industry.Be an effective leader, motivator, and communicator, e., the ability to present ideas effectively and communicate well with peers and all levels of the company.Have an entrepreneurial business mindset, e., be accountable, take initiative, and calculated risks.Have a proven track record in consistently achieving financial targets.Have a high degree of personal motivation, a desire to make an immediate contribution, and possess a distinct sense of urgency.Be confident, driven, dynamic, creative, and a problem solver.

 

 

Decision-Making & Working Conditions

 

The incumbent manages a range of products under the Animal Nutrition portfolio and has decision-making freedom within the area of responsibility. Based remotely or at Kemin’s Asia Pacific Regional Headquarters in Singapore, the incumbent is required to have tremendous flexibility and may require accomplishing additional work after the usual office hours. The incumbent will be expected to travel both regionally and internationally on a regular basis.
