Summary: Seeking an Animal Technician II to support research animal health and compliance with study protocols in a pre-clinical setting.

Requirements:

AA Degree or equivalent work experience in related discipline. 1-2 years of related experience. Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) preferred. Experience with animals, specifically pigs, dogs, and sheep. Technical skills in drug dose calculations and anesthesia. Experience with GDP documentation and GLP studies.

Responsibilities:

Maintain animal health under veterinarian direction. Ensure compliance with regulations and procedures. Provide care including vaccinations, medication administration, and physical exams. Support post-operative procedures with pain assessments and anesthesia use. Process clinical pathology samples and ensure proper enrichment for animals. Maintain records for regulatory compliance and coordinate inventory management. Induce anesthesia, monitor physiological status, and assist in study design.

Pay Details: $20.00 to $29.00 per hour
