Within the AWS WW Commercial Sales (WWCS) organization, the Sales Strategy and Operations team is responsible for supporting Leadership, Sales, and Operational teams in achieving organizational objectives and driving continuous improvements in field productivity. We own and deliver “run the business” (RTB) operational cadences, build new mechanisms to support organizational growth and scale, and drive organizational initiatives. We are seeking a Sales Planning Lead for Annual Planning mechanism. This role will partner with Sales Planning leadership to define business requirements, develop insights on the efficacy of our tools and mechanisms, automate operational processes, and invent new ways of diving deep with data to uncover actionable business insights to help us serve our stakeholders. The successful candidate has broad technical skills, strong financial acumen, deep analytic experience and a passion for driving operational excellence. The successful candidate must be able to roll-up their sleeves, work autonomously, and be a quick learner. You will drive towards simple, scalable solutions to day-to-day problems, be highly organized, and be able to communicate results, both written and verbally, in a clear and easy-to-understand way. You will proactively seek answers in self-service tools, and know when to ask for guidance. Must be passionate about your work, detail-oriented, analytical, and demonstrate problem-solving skills with the ability to escalate problems and roadblocks as needed. You will manage multiple assignments and requests/processes concurrently, prioritizing accordingly, and deliver timely results. Additionally, you will be responsible for driving improvements to reporting tools, methods, and processes utilized by the team to increase the availability and granularity of actionable data. This position will work with stakeholders supporting the extended AWS Global Sales organization, like Professional Services, and Partners, including Public Sector support. The individual must have the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and across multiple geographies. AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. Key job responsibilities • Build a strategic plan for how we manage segmentation and territory planning. • Develop innovative approaches to delivering operational solutions that scale. • Represent the Commercial Sales organization in the development of new tools and automation in support of annual planning. • Write business papers and deliver recommendations to executive leadership for consideration. • Identify issues and challenges related to sales strategy projects, and drive timely resolution. • Learn the Public Sector business and design a planning approach for 2025 About the team The Worldwide Commercial Sales (WWCS) Sales Strategy, Operations, & Enablement (SSOE) team is building the future of sales. Basic Qualifications - Bachelor's degree or equivalent - Experience using Microsoft Excel to manipulate and analyze data - Experience developing and implementing systems/tools utilized for CRM, variable compensation, revenue reporting, forecasting, Salesforce automation, etc. - Experience defining, refining and implementing sales processes, procedures and policies or equivalent Preferred Qualifications - Experience using Salesforce (or other CRM tool) or BI tools - Experience presenting to senior leadership Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
