Annuity Operations Analyst

ABOUT THE JOB (JOB BRIEF)

The annuity operations team provides backoffice support for Key Investment Services advisors with new annuity and life insurance orders as well as the maintenance of existing annuity policies.

PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS

Review annuity applications and related documentationWork with KIS advisors to ensure funding is in place for annuity ordersAssist with annuity linking and delinking requestsProcess manual annuity and life insurance ordersAssist advisors with questions regarding rep changes on annuity policies.Communicate and follow up on all items that are not in good orderMonitor Work Basket to complete assigned tasksMake quality decisions in a timely manner; sometimes with incomplete or ambiguous information and under tight deadlines/pressure Contact carriers to request statements, discuss the status of orders, troubleshoot issues with policiesDocument and maintain department proceduresProvide project support duties as assigned by management

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s Degree or 3-5 years of experience in Investment Operations environment or equivalent financial services experience  Strong professional written and verbal communicationExcellent time management skillsAbility to multi-task, prioritize work and meet established deadlines with limited supervision.Demonstrate detail orientation, precision and exactnessStrong Personal Computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and WordTake ownership and provide complete follow-up with assigned tasksFlexible and adaptable individual with the ability to handle changing priorities to support the team as needed

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS

Prior experience/knowledge with annuities processing and/or back-office investment operationsInstitute continuous improvement approaches where appropriate; assess processes and make recommendations for workflow improvementExhibit a proactive nature and approach to learning, problem identification and resolutionSelf-motivated with a desire to learn and be successful

As a result, this role may be mobile or home based, which means you may work either at a home office or in a Key facility to perform your job duties.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $50,000 to $55,000 annually depending on job-related factors such as level of experience. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for short-term incentive compensation and deferred incentive compensation subject to individual and company performance.
