This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a single-configuration, heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to low-Earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar, and beyond. Its first stage is fully reusable, and the vehicle was designed from the beginning to be human-capable.

Anomaly Coordinators work side by side with our New Glenn Launch Directors to resolve, track, and implement corrective actions on issues encountered during test and launch operations on the New Glenn program. They are responsible for identifying, analyzing, and resolving unexpected issues or anomalies that may occur during a rocket test or launch to ensure mission success; they need a deep understanding of launch vehicle systems, quick problem-solving skills, and the ability to make rapid, informed decisions under high-pressure situations. Additionally, they work to establish cross functional processes to enable operational excellence and unparalleled execution. This team is ultimately responsible for the safety and success of our customers, our team, and our missions. They serve as the standard bearers for Blue Origin’s processes and culture, and consistently strive to realize operational excellence within all Blue Origin test and flight operations teams. Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a technical subject8+ years of relevant, progressively responsible work experience, to include high consequence operations3+ years’ experience working on console in control rooms for spaceflight, aircraft flight test, or similar environmentsExperience monitoring real-time data streams during launch or high consequence operations, identifying deviations from expected parameters, quickly assessing severity, and determining potential impact and possible mitigationsFamiliarity with systems and subsystems common to aircraft or space vehiclesExperience with formal communications protocols such as those used in control rooms or aviation. Ability to clearly communicate complex technical information to diverse stakeholders to include off-nominal scenarios and risk to launch controllers, launch directors, and other stakeholders.Comfortable making safety-critical decisions in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment. Ability to implement corrective actions and recommend path forward often in consultation with other launch team membersAbility to think and act both strategically and tactically while managing changing priorities. Required for Certain Job Profiles: Drivers who operate Commercial Motor Vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW), Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) or combination of power unit and trailer that meets or exceeds 10,001 lbs. and/or transports placardable amounts of hazardous materials by ground in any vehicle on a public road while in commerce, may be subject to additional Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations including: Driver Qualification Files, Medical Certification, Road Test, Hours of Service, Drug and Alcohol Testing (CDL drivers only), vehicle inspection requirements, CDL requirements (if applicable) and hazardous materials transportation/shipping training.
