Anti-illicit Trade Operations Manager
Be part of a top-tier team fighting illegal trade, making a real difference. As the Anti-illicit Trade Operations Manager, protect JTI's interests and contribute to a safer, fairer market. This role has a challenging and rewarding environment, where you can directly influence our anti-illicit trade initiatives in Asia Pacific, especially in the Philippines.
Responsibilities:
Developing intelligence: Identify, recruit, and manage Service Providers (SPs) in strict adherence to all legal requirements and JTI policies. Develop and direct investigations through SPs, setting clear objectives and methodologies. Gather, assess, and disseminate information to relevant law enforcement agencies (LEAs) or for internal use in risk management and other business objectives. Law enforcement liaison (LE): Develop relationships with law enforcement, government agencies, and JTI markets. Support local market and AITO Regional Teams in combating smuggling of JT Group brands and illicit sales of genuine products within or outside the Philippines. Coordinate illegal trade awareness training for law enforcement agencies. Reporting: Prepare detailed reports and updates on the progression of projects and core objectives. This includes developing and analyzing intelligence on all aspects of the illegal trade, diversion of tobacco products, monthly reviews, trend analysis, and operational activities. Produce intelligence reports for dissemination to law enforcement and investigation reports to support ongoing AITO enquiries. Present orally to various audiences to demonstrate and explain AITO strategies and activities. Internal relationships: Collaborate closely with all JTI functions and departments, including CA&C, AITO, QA, IP, Sales, Legal, and other market functions. Foster and strengthen excellent relationships within the company to support regional and market management, advancing AITO's reputation. Budgeting and travel: Efficiently manage financial expenditures and undertake robust financial planning and control of projects. Meet reporting obligations and be prepared to travel domestically on a regular basis and to other markets within the APAC region if required.
Who we are looking for - Requirements
A Bachelor’s Degree in or College Diploma with Police Science or related Experience in conducting and managing investigations in public and/or private sector or in legal support services or the ability to demonstrate comparable business experience. Experience in working effectively with local and regional law enforcement and intelligence agencies or the ability to demonstrate comparable business experience would be beneficial. Good report writing skills, strong skills in use of Microsoft Office applications or similar.
