AP/AR Clerk
Description We are on the lookout for an AP/AR Clerk to be an integral part of our team in Midland, Texas. This role involves handling accounts payable tasks, managing vendor invoices, and ensuring effective communication with vendors. The position is a great fit for someone with excellent organizational skills and a knack for detail. Responsibilities: • Handling and coordinating accounts payable billing procedures. • Conducting thorough reviews and entering vendor invoices into the accounts payable system. • Implementing accurate coding procedures and data entry for billing purposes. • Rectifying any discrepancies through reconciliation of vendor statements. • Establishing effective communication with vendors to address any billing questions and concerns. • Leveraging office equipment and computer skills to maintain efficiency. • Utilizing your Accounts Payable (AP) skills to enhance operations. Requirements • The candidate should have at least 2 years of experience in a similar role • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) operations is essential • Familiarity with general accounting principles and procedures • Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail is required • Solid data entry skills coupled with a knack for numbers • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel • Experience with accounting software, preferably QuickBooks • Excellent organizational skills for maintaining clear, concise and accurate records • Ability to handle confidential information in a detail-oriented manner • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with colleagues, vendors, and clients • Aptitude to work independently and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines • Capability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks simultaneously • Demonstrated problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies promptly • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.
