The Accounts Payable Assistant Manager will be a key member of the accounting team, working under the supervision of the Accounts Payable Manager. This position is responsible for assisting in the management of the accounts payable function, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments, and maintaining positive relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders. Additionally, they will support the task completion of the AP team and provide support with their training and development.

Responsibilities:

Drive the accuracy of invoice coding ensuring that purchase orders are matched and approved, all while providing guidance for team members.Review and ensure vendor's statement reconciliations are done on time according to the internal procedure and payments schedule.Support with the collection of information pertaining to discrepancies regarding payments or invoicing with vendors to ensure all statements are paid fully on time.Process other departmental expenses for areas outside of accounting per manager’s request.Guide and provide training to the accounts payable team while maintaining consistency with understanding daily tasks and requirements for team.Assist the Accounts Payable manager overseeing the supplies management, setting spending budgets, and monitoring the spending.Provide suggestions and opportunities to help with automation for the department and system enhancements.Ensure all account aging issues are identified, communicated, and resolved in a timely manner.Participate and aid the manager with month-end close activities, including reconciling accounts and preparing accruals as needed.Assist with Accounting Department audit requests and ad hoc as needed.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.Minimum of 3 years' experience in accounts payable or a similar accounting role.Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting principles and practices.Exceptional understanding of accounting software, with a focus in SAP.Expert communication through written and verbal aspects.Analytically driven and strong problem-solving skills are a must.Prior experience with delegating and managing daily tasks.Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team mentality.

Annual base pay: $75,000 - $85,000. Final pay rate shall be determined and is based on experience and qualifications.
