Description We are seeking a dedicated Accounts Payable Specialist with experience in the construction industry to join our finance team. As the AP Specialist, you will manage all activities in the accounts payable function. Your understanding of the construction industry will be crucial to understand the nuances of the project costs and payments. Responsibilities: + Manage and prepare all invoices on an agreed schedule. + Review and verify invoices and check requests. + Process and verify expense reports. + Manage vendor relations - communicate with vendors regarding billing issues. + Analyze construction project costs and manage payments. + Verify transactions comply with financial policies and procedures. + Perform month end reconciliations. + Review and reconcile invoice discrepancies. Requirements: + Associate’s degree or certificate in Accounting, Business Administration or a relevant field. + Proven working experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist, specifically within the construction industry. + Strong understanding of accounting principles and the construction industry. + Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel, and accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP or similar). + Strong written and verbal communication skills. + Attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of accuracy. + Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
