AP Vendor Master Specialist

Job Description: Education: + High School diploma or equivalent required Skills: + Proficient use of Microsoft Office programs, including Word and Excel + Strong organizational and analytical skills + Excellent customer service skills with the ability to apply required logic and judgment + Proficient interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate professionally and effectively with internal and external customers + Self-motivated, with the ability to meet position requirements under minimal direction and supervision + Ability to operate professionally and effectively within a team + Ability to prioritize, remain organized, pay strict attention to detail, and meet critical deadlines within a high volume, fast-paced environment + Ability to maintain strict confidentiality + Acceptable level of hearing and vision to perform job duties Work Experiences: + Minimum of 2+ years business related experience + Vendor Master Database management or Accounts Payable experience highly desired Responsibilities: + Identify vendor tax status for appropriate IRS reporting + Process vendor master additions and changes in a timely manner + Coordinate with Vendor Management team supply chain updates and purchasing functions + Perform routine analysis on vendor accounts + Fulfill ad hoc reporting requests from vendors or internal customers + Maintain accurate tax information to support ear-end processing of 1099 and other compliance requests + Develop and maintain solid working relationships with purchasing, operations and financial organization to resolve vendor related issues that impact the business + Participate in projects as needed related to vendor master data cleansing + Develop a thorough understanding of Academy’s policies, procedures and safety rules + Duties may change; team members may be required to perform other duties as assigned Physical Requirements & Attendance: + Acceptable level of hearing and vision to perform job duties + Adhere to company work hours, policies, procedures and rules governing professional staff behavior Full time Equal Employment Opportunity Academy is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate with regard to employment opportunities or practices on the basis of race, religion, national origin, sex, age, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, or any other category protected by law. ​
