APAC High Net Worth Portfolio Manager

Purpose of the Role
The role has responsibility for assisting in the management and performance of the APAC High Net Worth portfolio. This technical specialist will monitor and recomend actions for the portfolio in a manner that achieves the product and portfolio profitability and objectives set out in the annual business plan.

This position will require full engagement in the execution of corrective actions that pertain to profitability improvements, such implementation of product and coverage changes, rate changes and review and improvement of policy wordings.

Responsibilities

Responsible for portfolio management through monthly result extraction & analysis, identifying any issues and emerging trends and suggesting actions to achieve desired results. Maintain, update and develop technical rating guides and procedures working with claims, actuarial and analysts. In partnership with Analytics Team develop portfolio management best practices to effectively manage the High Net Worth book of business. Complete analysis and provide recommendations that will improve the quality of the High Net Worth underwriting throughout the region. Examine and recommend product changes to improve profitability or enhance Chubb’s competitive positioning. Work with Local teams to drive profitable growth of the High Net Worth book through portfolio analytics, segmentation and product strategies.  Where required attend clients/sponsors/brokers meetings as the technical expert on performance and products.  Performs other related duties as assigned by management. Portfolio Management – clear understanding of how decisions may impact performance Product Development – drafting of policy wording and clauses to clearly articulate underwriting intent Analytics – identifying trends and developing appropriate solutions to ensure portfolio is managed to deliver acceptable results Excel – proficient user capable of manipulating and analysing data Ability to execute projects independently with minimal guidance; individual must be proactive in attaining results quickly and accurately Excellent communication skills both written and verbal Well organised and self-motivated Demonstrated effective communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to be capable of dealing with all levels of Chubb personnel as well as in dealing with sponsors, agents, brokers and clients Demonstrated ability to reduce complex material and situations into understandable training segments for the development of underwriting staff, along with the ability to act as a mentor to them
