The APAC Market Access Policy Director plays a crucial role in shape market access policy related to evolving healthcare systems to ensure support of innovation and patient access to sustainable, high-quality health care. The role involves supporting local policy teams in driving the policy debate via aligned industry activities through collaboration with local, regional and global stakeholders both internally and externally as well as monitoring, analysis and inclusion of environmental trends into business cycle considerations – such as Long Range Financial Planning, Business Planning, Integrated Evidence Generation Planning, and Business Development working with other cross-functional team.
A key partner internally with global stakeholders and groups, you will develop access related policy positions for the company and then in supporting/influencing externally industry position development.
Furthermore, partnering with Access and the broader cross-functional teams, you will identify policy issues within and across markets related to our key disease areas and develop strategies and execution plans for addressing them in order to enable patient access to our medicines in the region.
Job Description:
In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring and updating APAC Leadership Team on key political and healthcare policy trends that affect JJ business, to ensure a holistic region-wide view of the access policy shaping government engagement priorities. You will also support JJ IM AP Company Group Chair for external outreach in Singapore.
Your responsibilities will also include:
Serving as a Market Access policy lead in JJ Innovative Medicines APAC in value assessment frameworks, public healthcare fundings, and their allocation, collaborating with OpCo market access and policy team.Working closely with cross-functional team locally, regionally and globally, including providing regional support to the Value Framework/HTA forum and Access and Policy Council to ensure an aligned and coordinated approach to policy shaping efforts.Co-ordinating and aligning key third-parties (Industry groups such as PhRMA as well as local organizations in China and Japan, Trade Associations, patient groups, etc), either through or with the local policy teams, advocating and driving a strong, aligned and effective industry voice around health care policy.Writing clear, concise and evidence-based positions, statements, policy submissions, letters and other advocacy tools and documents.Monitoring public sources and policy/political alerts systems for issues and trends impacting JJ Innovative Medicine's operating environment.Developing an in-depth understanding of the drivers for the key stakeholders groups (e.g. payors, policy makers etc.).APAC MARKET ACCESS POLICY DIRECTOR
