Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Apigee Administrator to join our team. As an Apigee Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing our API gateway infrastructure using Apigee, while also leveraging Amazon Web Services (AWS) for cloud deployment. Your role will involve ensuring seamless API management, security, and scalability within an AWS environment.

Responsibilities:

Apigee Administration:API Gateway Management: Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Apigee API gateways.Proxy Configuration: Create and manage API proxies, policies, and security configurations in Apigee.Traffic Routing: Implement routing rules, load balancing, and caching for APIs.Monitoring and Analytics: Monitor API performance, traffic, and usage patterns.AWS Cloud Integration:Infrastructure Deployment: Set up and manage AWS resources (e.g., EC2 instances, VPCs, security groups).API Deployment: Deploy Apigee components within AWS, ensuring high availability and scalability.Integration with Other AWS Services: Integrate Apigee with AWS Lambda, S3, RDS, and other services.Security and Compliance: Implement security best practices within the AWS environment.Performance Optimization:Scalability: Optimize Apigee and AWS resources for scalability during peak loads.Latency Reduction: Analyze and fine-tune API response times.Resource Utilization: Ensure efficient utilization of AWS resources.Disaster Recovery and Backup:Backup Strategies: Design and maintain backup and disaster recovery strategies for Apigee and AWS components.High Availability: Ensure high availability and fault tolerance.Collaboration and Documentation:Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with development, operations, and security teams.Documentation: Maintain clear documentation for Apigee and AWS configurations.

Qualifications:

Experience: 6-9 years of hands-on experience in Apigee administration and AWS cloud implementation.Apigee Knowledge: Proficiency in Apigee API gateway administration, including proxy setup, policies, and analytics.AWS Skills: Familiarity with AWS services (EC2, VPC, Lambda, S3, etc.) and cloud architecture.Networking: Understanding of networking concepts within AWS.Security: Awareness of API security practices and AWS security controls.Collaboration Skills: Effective communication and teamwork.

Preferred Certifications:

Apigee Certified API Engineer

AWS Certified Solutions Architect
