Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital is seeking an APP to provide expert cardiac care at the Johns Hopkins All Children’s Outpatient Care in Sarasota. Our Heart Institute team treats children for the full range of pediatric cardiac conditions, from common to complex, and provides diagnostic services, including pediatric echocardiograms, EKGs and Holter remote monitoring. For children who may need heart surgery or interventional cardiology services, which are performed at our main hospital location in St. Petersburg, you will work closely with the heart surgery and interventional cardiology teams to create a treatment plan that meets the child’s needs.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to assess, diagnose, and treat pediatric cardiology patients. Conduct comprehensive physical assessments, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and formulate evidence-based treatment plans. Provide family-centered care by effectively communicating with patients' families, addressing their concerns, and involving them in the decision-making process. Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and research projects to advance pediatric cardiology practices. The APRN or PA demonstrates understanding of internal and external APRN or PA practice rules, regulations and legislation to maintain compliance and certification. Serves as an advocate for the needs of the patients across the health care continuum ensuring the best patient and family experience and to advance pediatric health throughout the community we serve. Integrates ethical principles in decision making.
Qualifications:
Pediatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (PNP-PC), Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (PA) certification and licensure in the state of Florida. Master's or Doctorate degree in Pediatric Primary Care Nursing (PNP-PC), FNP or Physician Assistant Studies (PA) from an accredited program. Current BLS and PALS Pediatric primary care experience required. Prior experience in pediatric cardiology or a related field is preferred but not required. Excellent clinical judgment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Salary Range: Minimum 49.54 per hour - Maximum 76.79 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
