Today our client is a full package apparel provider for large brands, simplifying their apparel needs with unique solutions for decoration, supply, inventory management and distribution to retail, events, marketing initiatives and direct to consumer.  Summary:  The Press Assistant is an entry level position with no experience required. The Press Assistant will understand and maintain quality standards while keeping up with production expectations as well as help with unloading, stacking or assist in other departments as needed. Some experience preferred but not required. Will typically need to master the Stacker position first or have on-press experience from another shop. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  Gathering inks for pressGathering necessary squeegees and flood barsWashing squeegees/flood bars in wash tank if neededRemoving and scraping screens from Press during breakdownPutting inks awayPress clean-upUnloading shirts from Press while it is runningQuality control inspection while unloadingMinor trouble shootingLearning Press Operator positionHelping in other departments as needed  EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or GED preferred SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Detail orientedOral communication skills Reading comprehensionProfessionalismTime managementAbility to detect colorDexterity skillsWritten Communication skills  Organizational skills Environmental Conditions: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and vibration.
