IT Concepts is looking for an Application Administrator for the VA End Point Support and Operations Monitoring contract within the Hardware Asset Management (HAM) Team. The candidate should have experience in managing the daily routine operations and maintenance of IT software system applications; including communication with end users and understanding issues related to end user applications.
The Application Administrator will be responsible for managing the ServiceNow platform, with a focus on collecting Hardware Asset Management requirements, implementing and configuring the ServiceNow Enterprise platform, and providing day-to-day monitoring and user support within the VA environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM) processes and will be able to collaborate with stakeholders to deliver enhancements that improve platform functionality and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
Requirement Gathering:
+ Work with stakeholders to collect and document software enhancement requirements for the ServiceNow platform.
+ Analyze current processes and recommend improvements to optimize ServiceNow functionality and user experience.
Platform Implementation & Configuration:
+ Work closely with the Service Team to implement and configure ServiceNow Enterprise modules such as Hardware Asset Management Pro (HAM Pro) and related impact / changes to Incident, Problem, Change, Service Catalog, and Knowledge Management.
+ Customize workflows, forms, and interfaces using ServiceNow’s configuration tools (Flow Designer, Workflow Editor).
+ Configure dashboards and reports for real-time monitoring and performance tracking.
Monitoring & Support:
+ Provide day-to-day monitoring of the ServiceNow platform, ensuring stability and optimal performance.
+ Troubleshoot and resolve ServiceNow issues and bugs.
+ Assist users and team members with platform navigation, functionality, and other support tasks as required.
Automation & Enhancements:
+ Identify opportunities for automation within the ServiceNow platform to streamline processes, asset management, ticket routing, and assignment.
+ Configure automated workflows and scripts to enhance the functionality of the platform.
User Training & Documentation:
+ Provide training to end-users and technical staff on new features and enhancements.
+ Maintain comprehensive documentation for platform configurations, workflows, and processes
Location: This position will be performed remotely within the US and will support Eastern Time working hours.
Duration: This position has an expected duration of 8 months.
Requirements
+ Associate's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or graduate of Technical School. 4 additional years of relevant experience may be substituted for the education requirement.
+ 5+ years of relevant experience.
+ Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with sharp attention to detail.
+ Communications:
+ Good communication and interpersonal skills.
+ Oral and written technical and non-technical to a variety of audiences
+ Present information and ideas so others will understand
+ Ability to respond clearly to questions.
+ Technical Skills:
+ Familiarity with ServiceNow administration and implementation across various ITSM modules especially HAM Pro & SAM Pro.
+ Hands-on experience with platform monitoring, troubleshooting, and system upgrades.
+ Ability to follow policies and procedures
+ Aptitude to address sensitive situations and positively resolve them.
Preferred Skills:
+ ITIL Foundation certification
+ Additional ServiceNow certifications (e.g., ITSM Implementation Specialist) are a plus
+ Experience supporting a federal client, prior VA Experience is a plus.
+ Knowledge of IT Asset Management (ITAM) and Configuration Management Database (CMDB) modules.
Clearance:
+ Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust Clearance.
+ Must be US Citizen or Green Card Holder.
