Overview The Application Analyst Associate is an entry level role responsible for configuring, documenting, testing and maintaining software applications under the guidance of more experienced staff. Through time and exposure, gain specific application and technology knowledge to contribute to the specification, design and development process. Create system and operating documentation. Responsibilities Job Description Under supervision, configure, modify, test and troubleshoot existing programs/software. Complete coding/modification of programs/software with focus on user experience and optimal program/system performance. Maintain and modify programs/software. Help in problem resolution. Write and maintain development/programming/systems documentation. Document development/programming problems and resolutions for future reference. Assist in unit testing programs prior to releasing them to the quality assurance team. Resolve unit test issues in a timely manner. Assist the quality assurance team in identifying test cases and aid in creating/mining test data to enable a thorough test of development deliverables. Respond to inquiries and issues in a timely manner. Develop knowledge in assigned applications and learn how the applications are used in the business workflows. Develop expertise within the application, including processes, tools and best practices. Develop and maintain application expertise and identify and pursue areas for development and training. Provide production support to the end-user and technical operations staff as required. Research application issues/problems within areas of responsibility, resolve issues and recommend innovative solutions to prevent recurrence. Completes all required learning relevant to the role. Complies with and maintains knowledge of all relevant laws, regulation, policies, procedures and standards. Fosters a culture of improvement, efficiency and innovative thinking. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Required Qualifications Associates degree in related field or related work experience 0-3 years of experience Demonstrated analytical critical thinking skills for process improvement or problem resolution Demonstrated interest in learning new technologies and applications Demonstrated self-motivation and willingness for taking on additional responsibilities License/Certification/Registration If supporting Epic, certification in core applications is required within six months Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in IT field Three years related work experience Experience within the Healthcare Industry Certifications and experience relative to the roles License/Certification/Registration Epic Certifications for Epic roles EEO Statement EEO/AA Employer/Vet/Disabled: All qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to any lawfully protected status
