Cogito Analytics Suite delivers actionable clinical and business intelligence across all Epic applications, based on the user's role and workflow. Configurable dashboards and flexible reporting tools allow organizations to manage patient populations, analyze and benchmark clinical and operational performance, and monitor improvements for key areas of focus. Application also includes Clarity, Radar, and Cosmos.

Job Overview:

The Business Intelligence Analysts/Report Writers are primarily responsible for supporting the Cogito Manager in the necessary data analytics and reporting requirements across the applications. The Business Analyst is responsible for developing the workbench reports and analytical reports.

Qualifications:

Required:

Minimum: One (1) year of relevant experience in large-scale project managementExperience with analytical tools, visualization tools, scripting tools, and processesMinimum: Associate's degree or three (3) years of Tableau work experience

Preferred:

Bachelor s degree in healthcare, Information Technology, Business or relevant fieldThree (3) years of relevant experience in large-scale project managementOne (1) year experience in EPIC s Population Health or Healthy Planet reporting

Essential Functions:

The Business Intelligence Analyst/Report Writer is primarily responsible for supporting the Cogito Manager in the necessary data analytics and reporting requirements across the applications. In addition to the duties discussed in the Role Description, the Business Intelligence Analyst/Report Writer is responsible for the following:

1) Technical Expertise:

Identifying all consumers of data and reports for both the legacy applications being replaced by Epic, and for any new functionality being introduced by EpicIdentifying and documenting all current state reporting inventories, including hard copy paper reports, electronic reports sent via email, and large data extracts sent both internally and externallyProviding analytics expertise and experience in the development of future state analytics requirementsCompleting the analysis of Reporting Current State against gap analysis of Reporting Future State with EpicProviding input to the build and configuration teams as needed to support the data analytics and reporting effortsSupporting the performance of units, systems and integrated testing tasks for data analytics and reportingFacilitation of Reporting Content Design Sessions (RCDS) with key consumers of data and reports, in order to manage expectations and encourage acceptanceWorking with the Interface Team to ensure that all data extracts and feeds are accounted for in the overall project plan and assigned to the appropriate areaCoordinating with Testing Manager and Application Coordinators to test and validate all reports and data extracts createdCoordinating with Interface Team to ensure that all data extracts and feeds are accounted for in the project planCoordination with Data Conversion and/or Interface Team to ensure that no issues exist with the format of legacy data during conversion and Epic reporting tools neededDeveloping workbench reports and analytic reports

2) Overall Project Support:

Supporting all project team members with analytics and reportingPrimary resource dedicated to designing, building, and testing all analytics and reporting tools across the Epic implementationProviding information to the training team regarding the functionality/content of new reports for inclusion in application-specific training curriculums and materialsSupporting the logging, tracking, and resolution of issuesCoordinating with application teams to ensure updated reportingEscalating identified issues and potential mitigation plans to the Cogito Manager

3) Documentation Support

Developing, supporting, and maintaining documentation as neededContributing to the preparation of testing scripts and materials
