**CTG is seeking to fill an Application Architect AWS Cloud position for our client in Denver, CO.**
**Location:** Denver, CO
**Duration:** 9 months
**Duties:**
+ Design and implement scalable, secure, and highly available cloud-based applications on AWS.
+ Provide architectural guidance and technical leadership for cloud solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives and industry best practices.
+ Develop and enforce cloud architecture standards, policies, and governance frameworks.
+ Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to design and deploy cloud-native applications.
+ Optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, cost efficiency, and resilience.
+ Drive cloud adoption strategies, migration plans, and modernization initiatives.
+ Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements related to cloud-based applications.
+ Stay up to date with emerging AWS services and best practices to continuously improve architecture and development processes.
**Skills:**
+ Expertise in AWS cloud services, including EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, API Gateway, IAM, and VPC.
+ Strong knowledge of cloud architecture patterns, microservices, and serverless computing.
+ Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
+ Proficiency in DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation frameworks.
+ Strong understanding of security best practices and compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO, SOC 2).
+ Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, EKS).
+ Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
+ Effective communication and collaboration abilities to work with cross-functional teams.
**Experience:**
+ Minimum of 7+ years in software development, with at least 5 years focused on cloud architecture and AWS solutions.
+ Experience designing and implementing large-scale cloud applications.
+ Proven track record in leading cloud migration and modernization projects.
+ Experience with AI/ML integration in cloud environments is a plus.
**Education:**
+ Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
+ AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
+ Experience with AI governance tools and frameworks, particularly IBM watsonx.governance, is preferred.
+ Strong understanding of Agile methodologies; PMP certification is a plus.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $70/hour to $77/hour . Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
