Application Architect Google Cloud
CTG is seeking to fill an Application Architect Google Cloud opening for our client in Parsippany, NJ. Location: Parsippany, NJ Duration: 4 months Duties: Design, implement, and maintain robust data solutions leveraging Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including BigQuery and AlloyDB. Play a key role in managing and optimizing the Data Lake architecture and ensuring efficient data flow. Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather business requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and deliver scalable solutions. Ensure high performance, scalability, and reliability of data systems, monitoring system health and resolving issues promptly. Collaborate with other architects, data engineers, and DBA teams to implement and integrate cloud-based technologies within a data-driven organization. Continuously evaluate GCP technologies and industry trends to implement the most effective solutions. Skills: Expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including BigQuery, AlloyDB, and other related GCP services. Strong experience in cloud architecture, with an emphasis on data lake architecture and large-scale data solutions. Proficient in database administration (DBA), including data modeling, optimization, and tuning. Experience with data engineering principles, ETL processes, and working with large datasets. Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, SQL) and automation tools for data operations. Familiarity with cloud security best practices, including data encryption and access management. Experience: 5+ years of experience in cloud data engineering, application architecture, and database management. Strong track record of designing and implementing data solutions on GCP, particularly using BigQuery and AlloyDB. Experience with high-volume, high-performance data processing systems in cloud environments. Proven ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team and lead technical discussions. Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
