Application Architect - IT Marketing & Customer Data Governance
**Overall Job Summary**
We are seeking an experienced Application Architect to support our IT Marketing team, focusing on application architecture, customer data governance, and marketing technology integration. This role will ensure seamless connectivity and governance across Adobe Campaign, Adobe Digital Asset Management, Epsilon Loyalty, and Zeta CDP, enabling personalized customer engagement while maintaining data integrity and compliance.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**
+ Responsible for combining roadmaps from multiple functional groups to align with goals, business plans and business processes.
+ Coordinate functional architects to develop project plans encompassing all technical tasks that meet enterprise and business schedule.
+ Responsible for development of technical designs to support delivery of solutions and oversight of multiple projects in project portfolio.
+ Maintain standards on cross-functional initiatives to align with enterprise standards.
+ Evaluate the impacts of new technology on multiple connected systems.
+ Document the implementation of business processes across technical systems.
**Required Qualifications**
Experience: 12+ years of Information Technology experience. 2+ years of experience in architecture for larger organizations.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or a related field. Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.
**Preferred knowledge, skills or abilities**
+ Retail industry experience preferred, with a strong understanding of marketing technology, customer data platforms (CDPs), and loyalty programs.
+ Deep expertise in application architecture, spanning collaboration, data integration, networks, platforms, security, systems management.
+ Strong knowledge of customer data governance principles, including data privacy, security, regulatory compliance (e.g., CCPA, GDPR), and ethical data usage in marketing.
+ Experience in data lifecycle management, ensuring customer data is collected, stored, processed, and retired in alignment with compliance and business objectives.
+ Expertise in Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and object-oriented analysis and design, enabling scalable and reusable marketing solutions.
+ Ability to align technical strategies with business objectives, ensuring marketing technology investments support data-driven decision-making and personalized experiences.
+ Advanced collaboration and conflict resolution skills, with experience working in cross-functional and distributed teams.
+ Experience evaluating the financial impact of technical decisions, optimizing costs while maintaining system performance, compliance, and reliability.
+ Proficiency in business process re-engineering, ensuring marketing workflows and data governance policies are optimized for efficiency and effectiveness.
+ Strong analytical skills to conduct discovery sessions and contribute to technical documentation, including data governance frameworks and “Closure Documents.This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep technical background in application architecture and customer data governance, ensuring that marketing technology solutions not only drive business value but also adhere to data privacy, security, and compliance standards.
