Job Description

Avery Dennison seeks an Application Consultant to join the Label and Graphic Materials Group organization. This role is aligned with the Label & Packaging Materials Group business and is responsible for providing complete application and general technical consulting support through phone and email coverage. This role will, at times, support both strategic and regional Customer accounts, including our Canadian Customer base. They will partner with Product Management, Marketing, Sales, and other business teams to deliver price, mix, and profitability objectives.

Hours: 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Monday - Friday (8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. during training phase)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide thorough application and technical consulting to customers via telephone, chat and email service channels.

• Provide product recommendations that include: samples, technical support, compliance information, and pricing on demand.

• Create new product combinations to meet application CTQs, and win new business.  

• Initiate SF opportunities when creating new products, working on large new pieces of business, and/ or applications requiring high-investment technical testing.

• Conduct application assessments, including troubleshooting.

• Uncover Customer needs and provide robust yet competitively positioned solutions.

• Communicate Customer opportunities to sales partners for follow-up.

• Accumulate and assimilate knowledge and information on the full range of available products.

• Follow up with customers on complex inquiries,  recommendations, testing, and compliance needs.

• Use predictive service insights to ensure our customers enjoy an effortless service experience.

• Become a certified Pressure Sensitive 101 (PS101) trainer to support Customer needs. 

• Build relationships with customers and the Sales Team to facilitate a climate of joint growth and partnership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred.

• Knowledge of Industry, products, and applications preferred.

• Excellent written, verbal, and telephone communication skills required.

• Solid Customer service skills and experience are required.

• Computer savvy with an agile learning style preferred.

• Strong attention to detail & organizational skills required.

• Strong technical aptitude required.

• Ability to network productively to accomplish Customer and business objectives.
