Application Consultant - Big Data

**CTG is seeking to fill an Application Consultant - Big Data opening for our client in Phoenix, AZ.**
**Location:** Phoenix, AZ
**Duration:** 12 months
**Duties:**
+ Design and develop full-stack cloud applications with a focus on data engineering.
+ Build data ingestion pipelines from Oracle Recruitment Cloud to a Big Data environment (cloud or on-prem).
+ Perform data transformation, cleansing, and curation using Spark, Python, PySpark, and HiveQL to support analytical models.
+ Collaborate with technical leads, architects, and implementation partners to lead data discussions and deliver work items.
+ Develop and deploy scalable, efficient, and reliable cloud-based solutions.
+ Work with CI/CD tools and code management processes to ensure streamlined development and deployment cycles.
+ Understand and apply data models and business processes related to the Recruiting modules of Oracle Fusion Cloud.
**Skills:**
+ Strong experience in data engineering, particularly in a Big Data environment.
+ Proficient in Spark, Python, PySpark, and HiveQL for data transformation and processing.
+ Expertise in building data ingestion pipelines and handling large datasets.
+ Hands-on experience with data processing tasks using Spark/Python for cleansing and curating data to populate analytical models.
+ Knowledge of cloud platforms and services for application development and deployment.
+ Familiarity with CI/CD tools and version control systems (e.g., Git).
+ Strong analytical and data-driven problem-solving skills.
+ Familiarity with data models and business processes in Recruiting modules of Oracle Fusion Cloud.
**Experience:**
+ 5-8 years of Data Engineering experience in a Big Data environment.
+ Strong Data transformation/ETL skills using Spark, Python, PySpark, and HiveQL.
+ Must have hands-on experience building data ingestion pipelines from Oracle Recruitment Cloud to a Big Data Environment (cloud or on-prem).
+ Proven experience in data processing tasks using Spark/Python for cleansing and curating data to populate analytical models.
+ Data-savvy with strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently.
+ Experience in leading data discussions and collaborating with cross-functional teams, including technical leads, architects, and implementation partners.
**Education:**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
