Application Consultant IBM Cloud
CTG is seeking to fill an Application Consultant IBM Cloud opening for our client in Orland, FL. Location: Remote Duration: 9 months Duties: Provide technical consulting and support for IBM Cloud applications, ensuring seamless integration with client systems. Develop, enhance, and maintain AS/400 applications using Fully Free RPGLE, RPGIV/ILE, and RPGIV-JAVA. Design and implement solutions utilizing SUBFILES, SQL, CLLE, and CLP. Develop and manage REST APIs (JSON Format) and SOAP APIs (XML Format) for seamless data exchange. Collaborate with business and technical teams to analyze requirements, troubleshoot issues, and optimize application performance. Ensure best practices are followed for application development, security, and cloud deployment within IBM Cloud. Document technical designs, procedures, and best practices for ongoing support and knowledge sharing. Skills: Strong proficiency in AS/400 development, including Fully Free RPGLE, RPGIV/ILE, RPGIV-JAVA. Expertise in database management using SQL. Experience in working with SUBFILES, CLLE, and CLP. Proficiency in integrating applications using REST APIs (JSON Format) and SOAP APIs (XML Format). Knowledge of IBM Cloud services and architecture. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and optimize applications. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Experience: Experience in AS/400 development with RPGLE, RPGIV, and RPGIV-JAVA. Hands-on experience with API development and integration (REST/SOAP). Prior experience working in IBM Cloud environments is a plus. Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required. The expected base salary for this position ranges from $50.00/hour to $120.00/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors, including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and, where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained.
