Posting Summary Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking an Application Developer for the School of Arts and Sciences. This position will develop services in support of advanced instruction in areas such as data science, operating systems and networking.
Among the key duties of this position are the following: Operates under general supervision will create and extend software and services in support of advanced courses in computer science. Examples are integrating Jupyterhub with grading software, creating virtual machines and tools to manage them for courses the require them, and integrating AI into software that supports courses. Requires programming, integration with cloud APIs, as well as some systems work in managing virtual machines and using Linux facilities such as cgroups to control student resource usage.
