Job Title: Application Developer
Client & Project: TWorkday practitioner for the implementation of Workday US Payroll for their US locations that include unionized locations.
Duration :8+ Months
Work Location: USA
Remote? In office? Hybrid?: Remote, travel to client site on occasion for workshops (Chicago)
Resource needs to be local?: based in the US as there is need to go onsite to client location on occasion
Visa restrictions? Require candidates that are not on a work permit/visa to ensure continuity on the project
Travel and expenses paid by client?: yes, with pre-approval from the client
Must-Have skills for the role: 1) 2) 3) Workday US payroll, should be certified by Workday
Nice-to-have skills: 1) 2) 3) , Workday US benefits, Absence, Time tracking are nice to have
Years of experience needed: should have experience with atleast 5 E2E US payroll workday implementations
Job description_
• Advising clients on industry standards and leading practices in Workday in the US Payroll domain, contributing to a functional solution that meets client needs and objectives
• Independently leading your workstream and reporting workstream(s) progress
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and understand payroll processes.
• Analyse and evaluate existing payroll systems and processes to identify areas for improvement.
• Configure and customize the Workday payroll software to align with business requirements.
• Develop and implement payroll policies, procedures, and controls to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Conduct system testing, identify issues, and recommend appropriate solutions or enhancements.
• Provide end-user training and support during the implementation and post-implementation phases.
• Troubleshoot and resolve payroll-related issues, investigating root causes and implementing preventive measures.
• Stay updated with Workday payroll functionality, new releases, and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Workday payroll with other modules, such as HR, finance, and time tracking.
