The Application Developer is the driving force behind the delivery of technical solutions for Mobile/Web Applications, Application integrations and Back-end processes.
Application Developers develop, document, and test software to ensure that the software meets the needs of end-users and achieves business goals. Application Developers provide technical guidance to development teams and oversee the technical aspects of all projects.
What we hope you will bring to this role:Develops web-based forms using Docuphase Frevo and web development languages (e.g., JavaScript, Java, HTML) to meet established business and legal requirements for child care enrollment in Bright Horizons centers.
Builds and maintains integrations between web applications using APIs or SQL-to-SQL jobs for form data submission into Bright Horizons administrative systems.
Supports in-house infrastructure for forms management, including software upgrades, SSL cert maintenance, and working with SysAdmin team to configure and troubleshoot issues with single sign on, ADFS, etc.
Work as part of a team with IT analysts, quality engineers, product managers, and business partners to deliver against business objectives.
Advise team members and business partners on technical considerations, implementation problems, security constraints, etc. impacting the ability to build and develop desired forms.
Work with Quality Engineers to ensure forms are adequately tested prior to release.
Analyze, estimate, and delivery user stories and bugs assigned to meet time sensitive deadlines.
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Computer science or software engineering is requiredExperience
3 years in Application development experience with business applications in a fast-paced development environment is required3 years in Designing, developing, and implementing business solutions from concept through to production is requiredA minimum of 3 additional years of experience would be considered in lieu of the applicable degree Additional Job RequirementsPrior experience with forms development software to build or enhance web-based forms (e.g., Docuphase / Frevo, Microsoft Forms, Google Forms, PowerApps, etc)
Familiarity with web development languages (e.g., Javascript, Java, HTML)
Building and maintaining integrations between web applications using APIs or SQL-to-SQL jobs
Knowledge of information systems, infrastructure, and operational systems in a corporate business environment (e.g., ADFS, Azure, SecureAuth Single Sign On, etc).
Experience designing systems with standard security protocols. Familiarity with common vulnerabilities and how to prevent them.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to tailor message to audience. Ability to communicate technology concepts to non-technical audiences.
Interpersonal skills necessary to manage business and technical relationships with internal clients
Knowledgeable of best practices in information technology governance and application delivery.
