**CTG is seeking to fill an Application Developer – Java & Web Technologies position for our client in Whippany, NJ.** **Location:** Whippany, NJ **Duration:** 9 months **Duties:** + Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications using Core Java, Hadoop, Spark, SQL, Spring, and Angular. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new features. + Optimize application performance and troubleshoot issues across the stack. + Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications. + Develop and maintain technical documentation. + Work in an Agile development environment, participating in sprint planning and reviews. **Skills:** + Strong proficiency in Core Java for backend development. + Hands-on experience with Hadoop and Spark for big data processing. + Expertise in SQL for database design and querying. + Proficiency with Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC). + Front-end development experience using Angular. + Knowledge of version control tools (Git, SVN). + Experience with cloud-based development is a plus. + Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. **Experience:** + **5+ years** of experience in Java application development. + Experience working with large-scale data processing frameworks like Hadoop/Spark. + Hands-on experience in building RESTful APIs and microservices. + Previous experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies. **Education:** + Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
