What will you be doing?
Barclays Services Corp seeks Application Developer Lead, Assistant Vice President in Whippany, NJ (multiple positions available):
Lead and manage the analysis and development of technical solutions/applications, which includes collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify business needs, develop project plan, and oversee the implementation of solution that meets the expectation.Support on-going development and maintenance of the existing platforms.Interpret functional requirements and convert them into deployable production code with a high degree of independence.Develop solutions for both tactical and strategic objectives to meet business requirements.Produce implementation specifications according to business requirements to enable the team to deliver high quality solutionsTrain new joiners, provide ongoing feedbacks and mentor them to help improve their performance.Analyze the existing business application domain to identify functional gaps and provide viable solutions for closing the functional gaps.Produce system design documents and lead technical walk through.Gather and understand business functional requirements, technical specifications, design, architect, develop, deploy, and test the technologies solutions for the business.Efficiently transform data from various formats into SQL-compatible format, ensuring seamless integration and consumption by other systems.Partner with the team to craft, create, and launch cutting-edge financial applications that empower business to analyze and organize their offerings with a view to minimizing their credit exposure and liquidity risk in the portfolios.Methodically analyze, isolate root cause and resolve issues with precision and speed.May Telecommute.Purpose of the role
To design, develop and improve software, utilising various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues.
Accountabilities
Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization’s technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.Assistant Vice President Expectations
