The ServiceNow Developer plays a key part in configuring, customizing, and extending the ServiceNow platform to meet the ever-evolving needs of our business. You will collaborate closely with various departments to understand their challenges and develop innovative solutions that streamline workflows and improve efficiency. This role is very hands on and is a senior expert within the ServiceNow team. Expectations for this role are that the individual delivers new code and application configurations within a formalized Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). This individual will also foster an environment of mature code development and release and build a strong CI/CD pipeline.
RESPONSIBILITIES, other duties may be assigned
Design, develop, and implement custom applications and workflows on the ServiceNow platformCollaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and ensure solutions align with business needsConfigure and customize existing ServiceNow modules to optimize functionalityIntegrate ServiceNow with third-party applications to create a unified IT ecosystemDevelop and maintain high-quality, secure, and well-documented codeConduct thorough testing to ensure the functionality and performance of ServiceNow applicationsTroubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the ServiceNow platform. Perform upkeep on existing solutions (e.g. business rules, UI policies, client scripts, ACLs, workflows, dashboard & reporting, data imports, service catalog development, etc.)Stay up to date on the latest ServiceNow features and functionalitiesProvide training and support to end-users on ServiceNow applicationsBASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Proven experience as a ServiceNow developer (minimum 5 years)Strong understanding of the ServiceNow platform, including ServiceNow Development Studio and scripting languages (GlideScript, UI Script)Experience with ServiceNow modules (e.g., Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management, Integration Hub)Experience with Service CatalogExperience with web development technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript)Proven experience in Integration HubRest APIExcellent problem-solving and analytical skillsStrong communication and collaboration skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a team.A passion for continuous learning and staying up to date with the latest ServiceNow advancementsExpert in SDLCCertified ServiceNow AdministratorPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
One or more years of experience working in a data center environment or other relevant critical process environment.Experience with other ServiceNow modules such as Customer Experience, ITOM, CMDB, Security Operations, Customer Service ManagementITIL v3/v4 certificationCertified ServiceNow Application DeveloperCSM or Agile certification
