Application Development Analyst III (Contractor)
Description We are offering an opportunity for an Application Development Analyst III (Contractor) to join our team in Sunnyvale, California. As a vital part of our team, your primary focus will be on maintaining and enhancing applications for our deployed devices, including addressing bug fixes and other reported issues. You will be involved in the full systems life cycle, from design to implementation and maintenance, and will work closely with customers, business analysts, and team members to deliver technical solutions that align with our business and IT strategies. Job Description: The successful candidate will be responsible for: + Maintenance releases for deployed devices (including bug fixes, development triage, QA, and field reported issues) based on the complexity of hardware resources. + Managing bug fixes, enhancement, and new small feature releases for broadband devices such as Technicolor XB8, Technicolor XB7, and future devices. + Collaborating closely with customers, business analysts, and team members to understand and implement business requirements that inform the analysis and design of quality technical solutions. + Full systems lifecycle duties including designing, coding, testing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting application software delivered on time and within budget. + Making recommendations for the development of new code or reusing existing code. + Participating in component and data architecture design, performance monitoring, product evaluation, and buy versus build recommendations Requirements Skills Requirement: + Strong knowledge in programming languages such as Python, and C/C++. + Proficiency in Networking: TCP/IP, DHCP, IPV4, IPV6, Iptables, Firewall, bridging, VLAN. + Knowledge of Protocols: HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, SSH. + Proficiency in Linux Operating Systems. + Solid understanding of development, quality assurance, and integration methodologies. + Comprehensive understanding of networking concepts and Gateway functionality. + Ability to recreate field issues and create environmental setups. + Experience in leading offshore test engineers and help them with automation. Education and Experience: + Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or another related field (or equivalent work experience). + Typically, requires 6 - 9 years of programming/systems analysis experience.
