Kforce has a client that is seeking an Application Development Project Manager in Miramar, FL. Summary: In this role, you will manage a team of business analysts, infrastructure and software engineers constructing and maintaining mission-critical, high-visibility applications and hardware in direct support of the client's business objectives. The App/Dev Project Manager is expected to continually evolve internal development processes/procedures, effectively manage a team of 5-20 software engineers, and deliver projects on time and budget. Key Tasks: * Determine the project approach, staffing, responsibilities, and schedule * Develop and/or review estimates and estimating assumptions for the project's schedule, effort, and cost using stablished estimating models, best practices, and experience; The resulting estimates account for all activities in the project scope, including project management and application development tasks, software quality assurance reviews, and vendor and contract management activities * Define team member roles and expectations, and ensure timely feedback; Ensure that project resources receive any necessary training and are used effectively * Review, and be responsible for, the overall development and integration of requirements * Measure and monitor progress at clearly defined points in the process to ensure that the project is delivered on time, within budget, and that it meets or exceeds expectations; Balance scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risks; Adjust as necessary * Define the project iterations strategy; Manage and evaluate iterations * Develop, implement, and maintain the Project Plan, including the configuration management, risk management, project measurement, and quality management plans * Ensure that all requirements, project plans, and changes to commitment are communicated to all affected team members
