We are looking for an experienced Application/Sales Support Engineer for our Meat/Seafood/Poultry segment supporting the broader Asia Pacific Region, based from our Pune office. You will use your technical expertise and food industry knowledge, plus our sales and application tools, to provide the sales team with suitable offers supplying the Meat/Seafood/Poultry market. This will include Freezing and Chilling, Frying and Cooking, Marination and Coating and High Pressure Pasteurization solutions. Reporting into our Director Meat & Poultry Solutions, you will guide projects and support sales working collaboratively with Sales, Project Management, and MBUs (Manufacturing and Business Units). Your primary role is to support the Asia Pacific Sales Team but you will be part of our global team of engineers located across the Asia Pacific Region, Europe and the USA. On a given day, you may: Communicate with sales teams and their customers to understand unique requirements and challenges Apply your understanding of food process to develop and customise technical solutions that improve production processes, ensuring product quality Utilize your technical expertise to conduct assessments and provide recommendations for improving existing food production systems and implementing new solutions Coordinate calls between JBT and the local Project Management team to align on standalone machine solutions or line solutions concerning; Food processing application data, drawings, operating pricing tools and calculate project gross margins, updating costs and application documents, managing the project proposal, costing and approval process, review and explain customer related Tender Documentation To stay updated with industry trends, tech advancements, and developments in food science Requirements for the role Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Food Science, or a related field Experience as an Application Engineer or something similar technical with a technical background and expertise in food processing Experience communicating updates and resolutions to customers and other partners Working in an international environment and communicating across multiple cultures and country time zones.
