As an Application Engineer at Danfoss Climate Solutions in our Application Development Center (ADC), you will work with cutting-edge technologies, focusing on areas such as heat pumps, chillers, controllers, and CO₂ supermarket simulations.

You will join a team of six skilled colleagues in Nordborg and take on real-world challenges. As part of your role, you will also work in our Smart Store - a fully operational supermarket integrated into the energy grid. This unique facility allows you to test and refine solutions in a live environment, with the opportunity to engage with a wide range of customers and guests who come to experience the innovations firsthand.

By collaborating with OEM customers and internal R&D teams, you will gain valuable insights into global collaboration and deepen your technical expertise, all while helping us deliver on our commitment to decarbonize with our customers and contribute to a greener future.

Job Responsibilities

As our new Application Engineer, you will combine simulation and hands-on testing to develop and optimize refrigeration applications. 

In this role you can look forward to:

Collaborate with R&D, Engineering, and Sales teams to create and refine testing methods for refrigeration applications. Conduct application tests on units and prototypes, ensuring compliance with international standards. Analyze, diagnose, and adjust systems to support both R&D and Sales initiatives, driving continuous improvement. Manage test schedules and maintain thorough documentation while Ensuring clear communication with project teams to align objectives and performance. Background & Skills

If you are ready to excel in this role, your background likely includes a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with expertise in air conditioning and refrigeration systems.

You bring hands-on experience in CO₂ applications and simulation for test setups and prototype units, and your solid English communication skills—both written and verbal—enable you to work effectively in an international environment.

You will feel confident in this position if you are familiar with:

Testing processes and methodologies Simulation and calculation of refrigerant systems Advanced measurement techniques, metrology, and data acquisition Certification standards for heat pumps and chillers Data processing and analysis
