The ideal candidate will possess mechanical engineering skills to collaborate with them and utilize product expertise to improve their process and manufacturing outcomes. This role requires a combination of skills, including the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, clearly communicate technical information, and provide leadership of projects critical to both the company and our customers. This role works closely with Engineering, Marketing, and Sales. to effectively articulate, build, and promote our value proposition. This role is onsite and based in Hatfield, Pennsylvania. **Essential Duties:** + Be the “go-to” contact for the sales team for technical training, guidance, and customer engineering needs. + Attend sales and engineering meetings to support product/project development at customer locations. + Partner with the sales team to support the divisional growth objectives by providing in-depth technical acumen for both product and process. + Identify the needs of the customer and determine if a new product needs to be created or an existing product can be applied to the opportunity. + Train Salespeople and customers on new products and product features. + Provide technical advice to customers and sales team to meet customer needs and assist in product selection, sizing, and configuration. + Evaluate customer needs and develop proposals and presentations on how our product can meet those needs. + Work with marketing to create technical PPTs, web content, white papers, articles, and application notes. + Interact with customers to resolve technical problems regarding product installation or operation. + Collaborate with the engineering group to further product troubleshooting efforts. + Travel to customer sites to evaluate customer needs and/or make technical presentations of Simco-Ion solutions. + Provide product and application training to customers and sales representatives at the factory and/or by traveling to field locations. + Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve customer satisfaction. + Represent Simco-Ion at various Industry events, including trade shows and technical organizations. + Ability to work independently with minimal supervision & Open to flexible working tasks. + Communicate with customers and sales representatives using phone, voice mail, email, and other tools to fully understand customer’s application and solution requirements. + Travel within North America approximately 30% of the time. **Qualifications** + BS degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. + Knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Excel, PPT, and Word. + 2 years experience with specification and/or presentation of industrial instrumentation or electronic components for process improvement. + Experience in an Engineering/Sales role is preferred. + Experience in Salesforce CRM is preferred. **Additional Information** **Physical Requirements & Work Environment** The physical demands/work environment described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
