Application Engineer - Energy

About the role:

WEG Electric Corp. has a great opportunity for an Energy Application Engineer. You will be responsible and accountable for the Energy negotiation process from inception of the RFQ to negotiation close out.

Primary Responsibilities:

Communicate with Field Sales, Customer(s), and factories effectively

Demonstrates an understanding of the application, the OEMs, customer visits, etc.

Develop industry experience (periodicals, internet research, conference participation, site visits, etc.).

Reviews request for quotations (specifications, emails, phone calls, etc.)

Lead and takes ownership of the quotation/opportunity by requesting feedback from Sales or directly from customers, when appropriate.

Identify project/customer details vital for determining quotation strategy

Compile an accurate quotation to customers of WEG’s offering

Ability to follow minimum pricing guidelines as established by management

Ability to identify opportunities to management when alternate pricing is needed

Accurately receive and review Purchase Order (as needed)

Generate order entry material

Organize all quotation/order documentation electronically and hard copies (if needed)

Assist Project Coordinator / Manager technically or commercially as needed

Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field.

Knowledge / training:

Proven capabilities in the Electric Machines industry in roles related to Application Engineering

Technical experience and Knowledge of Electrical machines and their applications

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint, as well as Outlook

Education:

1 to 3 years' experience as Application Engineer in Electric Machines industry or relevant business experience.
