Application Engineer I

Position Summary:

This position provides technical support to overserve our Highly valued customers. This role will be critical to building relationships with our customer’s engineering organization to assist in our growth and development of the next generation of products to solve our customer’s application needs. 
 
Major Responsibilities:
• Work with our customers to provide solutions to their development needs and approval of CR fan solutions 
•    Provide test and analysis support for fan systems with added focus on larger axial fan designs
•    Writing presentations and reports to be shared with customers
• Plan, schedule, coordinate, the customer testing of the system solutions.
• Develop a funnel to help drive voice of end chain customers into proof of concepts design. 
•    Work with product development teams to ensure competitively, reliable, and innovative designs.
•    Work with the plant and supplier development teams on PPAPs and deviation approvals. 
•    Conduct Lab testing in person as needed, or specify testing

Required Education / Experience / Skills: 
BS in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering

Travel: 30% travel to customers and between Tipp City and Ft. Wayne
Language: Fluency in English is required.

•    Self-directed work ethic
•    Broader engineering skill set and hands on approach
•    Easy to adapt to doing programming and testing
•    Quick learner, Team player

Desired Qualifications:
•     Previous experience with Fan Systems
•     Knowledge of refrigeration systems, electric motor application or electronic drives
•     Experience in solidworks and hands on mechanical support 
•    Ability to understand technical systems and determine the proper content for the audience. 
•    Good communication and report writing skills.
•    Ability to support customers with integrity. 
•    Six Sigma training
