Job DescriptionWHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
As an Application Engineer, you will be responsible for providing product information, system layout and design recommendations and quotations to Sales Engineers, contractors, and engineers for VRF systems and their associated controls.
Provide VRF equipment selections based on mechanical drawings and specifications and work with the sales team to provide competitive solutions, proposals and submittals. Work closely with product managers and applications to provide VRF application solutions to the sales force and/or customers both Commercial and Residential. Answer phone inquiries by customers on selected equipment and help increase sales, revenue and margin. Strong understanding of competitive VRF brands, how they compare with Lennox VRF products. Develop and maintain opportunity pipeline and sales forecast. Coordinate with operations and field sales on customer training and other sales programs as necessary. Develop and maintain a positive working relationship with the field sales force and be viewed as an expert regarding all product sales and application opportunities. Support the sales team as necessary with project management and pricing Support sales team in creating complete order packages. Support sales team on following critical orders and ensure successful, on time delivery to the customer.

You must be a high-energy, self-starter with a strong work ethic and can work under limited supervision. Be results, detail and team-oriented. The ideal candidate will also have the ability to work in a fast paced environment, must possess excellent organizational skills and demonstrate the ability to leverage decision-making abilities and technical aptitude to assist in meeting customer needs.
Understanding of general HVAC design and application principles as well as general engineering aptitude and business management skills. BA/BS in Mechanical Engineering is preferred, but not required.
