The Watts Internship Program is your chance to bring what you’ve learned in the classroom to life! You’ll dive into real-world projects, gaining hands-on experience while learning how business really works from the inside. During the program, you’ll get to roll up your sleeves and make an impact on day-to-day operations. Plus, you'll have tons of opportunities to network with passionate professionals across manufacturing, industrial engineering, and more—sparking new ideas through cross-department collaboration. It’s all about expanding your skills, challenging yourself, and exploring where your ambitions can take you!
What You'll Do
As a member of the Systems Engineering Team, the Applications Engineering Intern will support the Systems and Product Management teams by updating and creating new P&ID drawings for various space heating and domestic hot water applications.
Creates drawings using Visio for various space heating and domestic hot water applications.
Advocates energy efficiency and system affordability as key drivers of the daily business.
Models Watts business goals for quality and customer focus by successfully fulfilling the role of a functional team member
Models Watts business philosophy by demonstrating respect for coworkers on a daily basis. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Who You Are
Current student (junior or senior status) in a bachelor's program
Pursuing a degree in physical sciences - Chemical Engineering is preferred
Passionate about your work, with a genuine desire to contribute meaningfully and make an impact
Demonstrated commitment to integrity and respect in interactions with others, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment
Strong sense of accountability, taking ownership of tasks and following through on commitments
Must be authorized to work in the United States and do not require sponsorship now or in the future

Working Conditions
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, talk, and/or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Work is performed both in office and on manufacturing floor.
Noise level is minimal with intervals of spikes.
Required to wear safety glasses and utilize other safety equipment as required while present on the shop floor.
