Application Manager-Revenue Cycle Position Summary

The Application Manager will be the direct point of contact for the implementation and support of the varying software applications used within the Patient Access and Revenue Cycle areas within TidalHealth. Under the direction of departmental management, the Manager has the primary responsibility for directing the activities of personnel in their respective assigned teams of Information Services in the areas of evaluation, analysis and design, implementation, maintenance and support of applications utilized in support of the management, coordination and delivery of care and in support of the financial settings of TidalHealth. 

Works with leadership in the Patient Access and Financial business areas to provide recommendations, guidance and support the implementation of user defined system content, templating, training, and workflow optimization. Site-specific work includes workflow analysis, content review and configuration, development of project scope, project management, custom document and report design, testing, activation, and support. Responsible for providing 24x7 operating environment to support business critical information systems. Provides recommendations for EMR functionality and interoperability to facilitate workflow optimizations both within and outside the Health System. Provides input and requirements to Information Services Leadership to develop Information Services’ strategies, standards, and budget. Contributes to the success of new programs and strategic plans at TidalHealth as they relate to the processing, access, and utilization of information. Serves as an expert consultant to management in strategic planning to meet organizational needs for information systems and associated process improvements. Serve as the direct resource for the Director of EMR Applications when issues or planning need to be discussed.

Application Manager-Revenue Cycle Position Requirements

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or other computer related field or healthcare related field.  Extensive work experience may be considered in lieu of educational requirements on a case-by-case basis.

Required License and/or Certification

Epic Certification in one of the assigned Epic Modules

Experience  

At least six years experience in an application support or development position with proven leadership, project management, analytical and customer service skills. Healthcare industry experience preferred. Demonstrated skills in employee supervision, training, project management, problem resolution and fiscal responsibility.  Excellent verbal and communications skills are required.
