Job Description
Position Summary
The Application Developer position is responsible for the custom applications implemented within the company's computing environment. Responsible for development and implementation of custom-based software projects for both external and internal applications. Such projects involve the development of a new system, substantial changes to a current system or implementation of a customized product. Additionally, this person will be the first line of support with the upgrade of custom application software as well and support with any technical issues that may arise
Responsibilities
Design, code, and debug complex applications using multiple languages, including .NET technology
Write, test, and document the necessary code to implement approved computer programming requests; verify the accuracy and completeness of coding
As directed, learn any language or technology necessary to meet the needs of assignments
Provide accurate time estimates of projects duration and accomplish them within a reasonable deviation of the original estimate
Expand knowledge of the Company operations particularly as they relate to assigned projects and responsibilities
Respond to customers for on-time, high quality professional delivery of services
Translate business and technical requirements into cross-functional business application systems, providing custom integration solutions, including major system enhancements; collaborates in setting development guidelines
Develop new cross-functional software systems using disciplined software development processes; make recommendations toward the development of reusable routines or components, including object-oriented base class reuse
Qualifications
High School diploma or GED required
Associate degree or equivalent
1-2 years’ experience and knowledgeable in application development, including the following:
Visual Studio
SourceSafe
IIS
SQL 2000, SQL 2005
Web Authoring Tool Sets (various)
HTML, .ASP.net, vb.net, JavaScript
Microsoft .net Development Platform
Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization and with end-users
Self -Starter who takes initiative and is proactive
Service orientation, professional
Ability to prioritize a high volume of tasks
Ability to follow instructions
Listening and problem-solving skills
Project management skills
Organize tasks, and provide follow-up
Compensation
Salary type: Exempt
Pay Frequency: Bi-weekly
Annual Base Salary Range: $70,000- $80,000
Annual Bonus: 10%
