ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY As a potential Application Solution Architect, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with a talented team of professionals in support of a client in the Tallahassee, FL area. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a deep technical background and a proven track record in managing large-scale IT system modernization projects. This potential role requires expertise in designing, developing, testing, and implementing complex IT systems while ensuring adherence to industry standards. SOME RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: + Lead the design and architecture of enterprise-level IT applications and systems, ensuring they align with business goals and technical requirements. + Perform detailed technical analysis for large-scale IT system modernization projects, analyzing current systems and identifying areas for improvement and optimization. + Oversee the design, development, system testing, load testing, and implementation of new IT applications and systems, ensuring they meet both functional and non-functional requirements. + Work closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., developers, business analysts, project managers) to ensure smooth system integration and the delivery of high-quality solutions. + Lead efforts to integrate new systems with existing infrastructure, ensuring seamless operations and compliance with industry standards. + Ensure compliance with industry standards, security policies, and regulatory requirements throughout the solution lifecycle. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: + Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (CS), Information Systems (IS), Business Administration (BA), or a related field. + Advanced Degrees (optional, but beneficial) such as a Master’s in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related areas can enhance an architect’s qualifications. + 3+ years of experience working in technical roles such as system analysis, software development, or IT consulting. + 5+ years of experience in software development and system architecture. + Experience with large-scale IT systems, modernization projects, or enterprise-level solution design. + Hands-on experience in designing, developing, and implementing complex IT solutions that include integrations with legacy systems, cloud platforms, and third-party applications. + System Architecture: Deep understanding of application architecture, including multi-tier and microservices architecture, integration patterns, and APIs (REST, SOAP). + Programming & Development: Proficiency in multiple programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, or others commonly used in enterprise environments. + Cloud Architecture: Experience with designing cloud-native applications and cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. + Infrastructure & Security: Knowledge of networking, databases, and security protocols (e.g., OAuth, SSL/TLS, encryption). + DevOps: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), and automation tools. + Familiarity with agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) and waterfall approaches. + Experience in following industry standards for software development, security, and compliance (e.g., GDPR, PCI-DSS, HIPAA, etc.). + Strong understanding of software design patterns (e.g., Singleton, Factory, Observer, etc.) and enterprise integration patterns. + Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality standards. + Experience in integrating third-party applications (e.g., SaaS solutions, legacy systems, ERP platforms) into the overall IT ecosystem. + Knowledge of middleware solutions for connecting disparate systems. + Candidates must be U.S. Citizens. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: + Government experience (Federal/State/Local) + Leadership & Collaboration: Ability to lead cross-functional teams, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with various stakeholders (developers, business analysts, project managers, etc.). + Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to tackle complex IT challenges in large-scale systems. + Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly language for stakeholders. + Business Acumen: Understanding of business needs and how IT solutions can address those needs effectively. Ability to align technology solutions with business goals. + Strategic Thinking: Ability to think long-term and design scalable, future-proof IT solutions that meet evolving business needs. + Microservices Architecture: Understanding how to build modular, scalable applications using microservices and containerization technologies. + Big Data & Analytics: Familiarity with data processing frameworks (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) or data warehousing concepts. + Certifications: + Certified Solutions Architect – AWS/Azure/Google Cloud: Demonstrates proficiency in cloud architecture and design on major cloud platforms. + TOGAF (The Open Group Architecture Framework): Validates understanding of enterprise architecture principles, particularly useful for solution architects. + Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP): Relevant for architects involved in Agile-driven environments. + ITIL Foundation: Knowledge of IT Service Management best practices, particularly for system deployment and lifecycle management. + Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP): For architects focusing on the security aspects of solution design. + AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or similar DevOps certifications for those working on CI/CD, automation, and cloud deployments. Compensation / Salary Range: Greentree adheres to federal, state, and local regulations. This is a Full-Time, Salary, Exempt position. The salary range is what we reasonably expect to pay but is contingent and subject to a variety of factors, including but not limited to years of experience, education, certification(s), training, specialized skills, responsibilities, etc. Bonuses: Greentree has an employee referral bonus, as well as employee bonuses based on employee contributions and Greentree’s yearly performance.
